Your Guide to Holiday Fun in MetroWest

Wondering what makes our local towns extra magical this time of year?

If you live in or around Maynard, Stow, Acton, Sudbury, or Concord, the holiday season is one of the best times to fall in love with your town all over again—or introduce someone new to what makes it special. Whether you’re thinking about buying, selling, or just looking for something festive to do, these events are a great way to feel connected and see each community shine.

Maynard

Don’t miss: 2025 Maynard Holiday StrollSaturday, Dec 6, 5:45–8:00 pm at Memorial Park. Tree and holiday lighting, live music, downtown window stroll—classic small-town charm. Festivities will begin in Memorial Park at 5:45. Then, from 6-8 pm, you can stroll through local businesses for treats, deals, and holiday shopping. Sponsored by Maynard Business Alliance.

It’s always a busy weekend, so plan to hit not only the Stroll, but the Holiday Parade and Winter Market as well!

Also NOT to be missed: Maynard Holiday Parade, and Winter Village on Sunday, December 7th. The Winter Village opens at 12 noon at Memorial Park, Santa flies over in his helicopter at 1:45 pm, and the parade kicks off at 2 pm! (Rain/snow date is Sunday, December 14th)

Why it’s worth your time: - The perfect way to experience Maynard’s lively, walkable downtown. - For buyers, it shows off the vibrant, close-knit feel of the community. - For sellers, it’s a reminder that they’re not just selling a house—they’re passing along a lifestyle.

Stow

Coming up: Stow Annual Holiday Tree LightingSaturday, Dec 7 (rain date Dec 14), hosted by the Lions Club. Simple, sweet, and full of community spirit.

And: Luminous Night Solstice CelebrationDec 15 at First Parish Church. A peaceful evening of music and candlelight.

Why it’s special: - Stow’s events feel authentic and homegrown—exactly what many buyers are looking for. - For current homeowners thinking about listing, these are great reminders of what makes their town so desirable. - I love attending events like these to connect, reconnect, and just be part of the community.

Acton

Happening nearby: Holiday events & Santa sightings in Acton and beyond. From craft fairs to breakfast with Santa, there’s something for everyone.

Why I mention it: - Acton has this perfect mix of suburban convenience and neighborly warmth. - For buyers, it’s easy to imagine living here when you’re surrounded by lights, laughter, and hot cocoa. - These types of events make great “reasons to reach out”—ask your sphere if they’ve been or plan to go.

Sudbury

On the calendar: Sudbury Holiday Village 2025Saturday, Dec 6, 11am–3pm at Fairbank Community Center.

Also: Sudbury Chamber Holiday Celebration – Wednesday, Dec 10, 5:30–7pm at the Wayside Inn. One of my favorite settings any time of year.

Why it matters: - These events add so much depth to Sudbury’s already strong sense of community. - For sellers, events like these can make their listing even more appealing. - And if you’re buying, it gives you a true taste of what life here looks like beyond the property lines.

Concord

Mark your calendar: West Concord Holiday Stroll – Dec 10, 1–5 pm. Shops open, live music, and all the festive feels.

Bonus: Concord’s full event list has everything from tree lightings to early-bird pajama sales. Yes, that’s a thing—and yes, it’s adorable.

Why it’s a standout: - Concord is already one of the most beloved towns in MetroWest. - These holiday traditions add to the charm and draw, especially for buyers looking for that quintessential New England vibe. - Sellers can feel confident knowing they live in a place people actively want to be.

A Quick Wrap-Up

These events aren’t just feel-good fun (though they absolutely are)—they’re also a real glimpse into what life looks like in each of these towns. For buyers, it’s a chance to experience the vibe firsthand. For sellers, it’s a reminder that the lifestyle you’ve built here is one of your biggest selling points.

If you’re planning to go to any of these and want to chat real estate—or just say hi—I’d love to connect.
